Sightseeing

Ben also did a little sightseeing, visiting a few colleges at Oxford, notably Christchurch and Magdalen. He got to see several places that were used in the Harry Potter movies, which he doesn't yet care about, but maybe when he's older it will be cool to see pictures of him there. Many of the colleges have cloisters, like monasteries, as well as churches. They all have dining halls in which everyone eats at long tables, and the master and other important people eat at a table on a dais at one end of the room. In all of them, only members of the college are allowed on the grass, which Ben found a little frustrating, but he liked the pebbles, and the flowers were quite pretty. Magdalen even had a deer park (not to be outdone by Christchurch's cattle).
