Off to Oxford

From Paris, we flew to London and took a bus from the airport to Oxford, where Ben's parents were giving papers at a conference on architectural education. We stayed in a child-friendly guesthouse that's a college dorm during the school year, and went off on expeditions every day. The first day we went to Blenheim Palace, a famous baroque palace with picturesque gardens by Capability Brown, but also with some formal gardens and a very nice rose garden. The gardens include a pleasure ground with an enormous and very decorative hedge maze.
